Really? Wow you guys really are fanboys. Or raging casuals.
I loved the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox but I can admit that the PS4 is superior.

Kinda the same with. Although I never an original Xbox, my neighbor had one and I would go over to his house all the time and play some Mech Assault (<3) and other games. For me, that console generation was dominated by my PS2. Then for this current console generation the Xbox 360 has dominated. As for the upcoming console generation, I'm more than likely gonna get a PS4 over the Xbox One. So for me it flip flops with the systems each generation. I'm not some fanboy who's bashing on the Xbox One for no reason. I have legitimate reasons as to why I'm not getting it. And before people start saying that I'm a PlayStation fanboy or whatever (which I'm not), I will say that there is a thing or 2 that I don't like about the PS4, but as of right now, IMO, the PS4 seems to be the better console choice. ULTIMATELY THOUGH...PC is the best, but for some reason people can't see that...oh well.
-
I would say that PC's aren't the most popular because of initial costs. That's my guess.
-
You can build a decent gaming rig for around $350.
-
That requires building it though. I assume most people would prefer to buy a complete machine, and due to the initial cost that would make PC's less popular I'm sure. It is still a great thing that building it is an option though.
-
If you're going to get into PC gaming, building your own computer is part of the culture of PC gaming. So yaaa...plus building it is pretty easy. Plus, if you wanted a cheap gaming PC (like a $350 PC), you would have to build it yourself, or else you'll get something that's really crappy pre-built.
-
I know, I'm not talking about myself btw, just the general gamers that don't have PC's

Edited by King PWNinater: 5/22/2013 11:48:54 PMI'm kind of a fanboy, but at the same time, The One showed off alot of things that could potentially change hardcore gaming for the better, as we know it.
-
Edited by adamj004: 5/23/2013 12:03:30 AMI'm an xbox fan but there was nothing there for hardcore gaming as it was only to show off the console and its features.
-
Not directly, but you had to listen and really adsorb the information to really see what alot of the stuff they were hinting at. See my last post.
-
No it didn't Woah voice commands, woah kinect has to always be on, woah fee for playing used games, yeah the console is a money grab. And if you think that the EA-Microsoft partnership is going to bring about great things for gamers, you are sadly mistaken.

Edited by King PWNinater: 5/23/2013 12:07:42 AM*Sigh* Near Lag-Free experience. 10x Server Power. Better controllers. Representation of Skill tethered to each account. The most important being the Controller syncing with the Kinect. This allows for keyboard-like freedom. Examples being titl controllers left to tilt out of cover, quickly move your controller down for a crouch or lower weapon, move up to double jump, move forward for sprint or leap, move left to roll left, move left and right to enhance strafe, or any of these in combinations, and you still have the triggers and buttons on your controller. This would change games like Halo, COD, Gears, Mass Effect, Mortal Combat, ect.... See?

Edited by kgj: 5/23/2013 2:44:38 AMYou forgot the feature with the most potential. Cloud integration.
Game worlds could constantly be updating. Immersion would be on a completely different level. Especially for MMOs or something like Destiny. You'd also be able to save wherever. Devs could theoretically just add new maps whenever and open everything up for you to explore.
Well I personally don't feel it's all that revolutionary. Or useful.

What games does your Xbox play for a living?
-
And your opinion must be taken as fact because you're you!!!!1 Your opinion is the only opinion that matters and anyone else who has a different opinion is either a fanboy or a raging casual!!!11` Also, since you are admitting the PS4 is superior, what are your favorite aspects of each console? You have played each, right? That is the only way you could come to such a conclusion. Anxious to hear your response! Wow I can't believe you've played both consoles in depth! How did you get the opportunity?!
-
answer people with this
-
You are an idiot. "hmm I'm gunna go buy a toaster" "woah these two are pretty good how am i gunna decide?" *read features of both on their boxes* *choose the one with better features and the one that looks like it would optimized for my uses* OH HURRDURR U CANT DO THAT UNLESS YOU REVIEW EACH ONE IN DEPTH
-
Woah there buddy love the enthusiasm but let's take it down to a 6, k? I'm glad you take things so seriously but you didn't really explain why your opinion is so important. What makes other people "raging casuals" or "fanboys" if they disagree with you? Just curious. Anxious for yet another response!!!

Well you can smell the money greed from the damn thing first of all. Microsoft wants you to use their console for everything, and in doing so they are going to do everything half assed. You will most likely pay a subscription to see advertisements everywhere, or the advertisements will be free, there will be advertisements regardless. Everything will be catered to non gamers, the gamer will most definitely NOT be the priority. You can see that in their reveal of the console, 3/4 of it was talking about TV and ESPN, and Kinect, totally useless features. And if you think that partnership with moneygrabbers EA and Microsoft will bring about great things, you are delusional. They revealed both the consoles, they told us their features, now it's our job as consumers to make a decision, if you need to buy every console to find out which one will be the best, you probably have no experience with video games (you're 12 and your first shooter was MW2) or you are a fanboy. Or you own nothing in your house and you do need the Xbox to do everything.

Edited by Ted Bundy: 5/22/2013 11:19:04 PMYou're borderline retarded. Your argument is based off of "most likely" and "going to do" and similar statements that do not mean a single thing. Not to mention you're, still, throwing around your opinion as fact. TV, ESPN, and Kinect may be useless to you but since when does your opinion rule all (I've literally been waited for you to answer this yet you've failed to)? And let me reword my rant regarding your criticism of the console. Sure you don't have to buy and physically experience (lol) the consoles to make an accurate judgement but you're declaring one console superior to the other in such early stages of marketing. The console has not even been revealed for 30 hours and you're shutting it off 100% completely, and going as far as calling the supporters of the console "raging casuals". Are you so young you don't know how important E3 is or are you just that retarded? As a consumer I'm not going to look at products one time and make a decision. I'm going to study in-depth the features of the product and determine which one appeals to me the most. In this case you may just be able to look once at the Xbox One or the PS4 and declare whether or not you most likely will buy the console, but when your primary counter argument against the console is regarding the lack of games, why are you not even considering the console knowing that its game showcase is in 18 days? There is no reason for you to declare, at this time, the Xbox One inferior to the PS4 because it lacks gaming components/games themselves because it's game showcase has not actually been fairly revealed yet. You are one hell of a retarded, contradictory consumer.

Oh the irony.
