Do you see any other way to get rid of disks other than making a code exclusive to any given console? If you do, then I will agree with you, if not, then you should consider why microsoft did this.

Why get rid of discs though? Discs are the reason console games are so social and easily shared with friends. The step towards a minimalistic, simple, yet powerful console is a step away from a social console.

Everything is going digital, social interactions are going toward the online world.

Indeed, but big companies like this need to realise that local gaming is still a pretty big deal, and should accommodate for it accordingly. It's a major kick in the balls to people like that.
-
But you can still play games locally without paying a fee...
-
Yes, but that's not the local gaming I was referring to. Sharing with your local community, i.e. friends and family, is still a big thing.
-
Not as big as you think, plus, as I stated, there are probably a vast majority of people who would rather go disc free than be unable to share games with friends.

Though I disagreed, your posts were reasonable until this one:
Not as big as you think,
Yes, it IS as big as he thinks.
plus, as I stated, there are probably a vast majority of people who would rather go disc free than be unable to share games with friends.
That is baseless speculation based. Very unreasonable when there are many, many people saying the opposite.

Edited by JLx24: 5/22/2013 4:25:47 PMYou've been on the internet and on bungie.net for a while burrito, you know rage always washes out pleasure on the internet even if those people are the minority. I do agree though, my statements were premature, just based on what most people on my friends list have said. I am waiting until E3 to pass my final judgements however, as I know that Microsoft had to say what these features were and hopefully it was solely here and not at E3, which SHOULD be all about games. Also, depending on how they implement the online sale/ trade system, then you can just sell it to your friend (i.e. let him borrow it), then when he is done, he can sell it back. The only thing that would prevent this scenario from being good is if Microsoft takes a percent of the sale and if it isn't P2P sales/ trades.
