If you read what Nelson said you would understand that it will indeed work the way it does now on the 360. Loaning a game to your brother would be the same as you trading it in at a game store and then your brother buying it. It's all good, I think the mention of signing in at a friends house just outlines the fact that your profile is now in the cloud so you can pick up your saved game and play with friends no matter where you are. • Funny, because that's not what I'm getting from his statement. As much as I hope you're right and that this is all just a horrible misunderstanding, the sentence
"Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile. "
doesn't exactly shine with hope. It clearly states that so long as you are signed in with your profile, you friend won't have to pay a fee. For multiplayer games where you often have your own account downloaded anyway, that's totally fine. But if they want to borrow a game like Skyrim, Forza, etc, to try it out? From what it currently says, it sounds like you have to use the profile it was activated on. Again, all I'm asking for from MS is complete clarification, and that if what I'm seeing is correct, that they change it.

 • Apologies MacGrooger, I have most definitely misunderstood my first read through of his statement. After reading it back I can see what you mean now. Lets just hope that this only applies to the online pass system that EA brought in a while back and doesn't mean that the offline play will require a payment. If the payment is require for the entire game, I can see how this would be a massive obstacle for people and also stagnate the second hand game market. The only way I see this being remedied would be if the second hand game price came down to accommodate the price of the additional payment or if retailers had the option to bundle a redemption code with the second hand titles that would open the game up. Either way, this is a bit of an underhanded grab at wringing more money out of the consumer and charging people for something that used to be free will never be well received.

 • No need to apologise, it was only a mistake. In all fairness, Microsoft are responding to people already and saying they will be clarifying in due time, and that the system is by no means set in stone. What I'm taking from this is that they've seen the outrage from the gaming community, and are working on an arrangement to make this system better for all of us. At least, one can hope.
