Would the problem be solved if you played on the same Xbox?

Xbox Uno games are linked to a single account, so no. They also don't play the same games and they would like to play their games separately, simultaneously, and occasionally trade between themselves.

And shared one account with both of our friends on the list, on the living room TV which my parents are always using? Or when I get to my new house with my housemates in August and they bring their Xboxs and PlayStations, and we all have to share one console in the living room, and can only play one at a time? Yeah, then it would be solved. But what if my housemates want to watch TV, and I want to game? That's fine, I can move into my room on my own Xbox and download our shared profile. But what if another of my hosuemates wants to play on his Xbox? He'll have to download the same profile, but he can't, because I'm using it. It's a bloody useless idea and you cannot possibly support it.

Overreaction. Priceless.

At this point I'm getting the feeling you're just in this thread to troll me. How is it an overreaction? It's a legitimate scenario which will occur as a result of this new system Microsoft are using to lock games to profiles. The fact you can't grasp that makes me think more and more that you're just trolling.
