I was impressed by the game overall, but I felt that it was directing my actions the entire time. I died on the surface a couple times because my mask was damaged and two hits was all it took to break it.
The fight against the bear thing was also frustrating because I ended up having to pour my entire ammo supply into the creature to "kill" it.
There was certainly some awe inspiring scenery going on, and I had to soak in the visuals at time along with some very nice gunplay at times.

Well you see..... hmm... didn't think about that. In fact, I don't think I used a single grenade, claymore, or throwing knife in my playthrough....

Dude throwing knives are the best weapon in the game! If you play stealth, that is.

I just shot them in the head with my silenced pistol, or I would sneak up to them and stab them. They never knew what hit them.

It's usfeul for quickly taking out enemies from a distance, or multiple enemies in quick succession. No need to worry about using precious bullets. It's even more fun on Ranger because you have no crosshair so you need to be pretty skilled and eventually you get the hang of it.

I'll have to try them out if I play through the game again (reinstalling the game at the moment actually). I had to load the game to my primary drive (small SSD) for Steam's pre-load so I had to uninstall the game after I finished it to regain space.
