I know which one I'd rather be.
Scientists that is. They're the ones that actually give the engineers something to work with.

What about the equipment engineers give to scientists to conduct their studies?

Edited by Chaz: 5/18/2013 7:40:55 AMWouldn't exist without science. The entire basis of engineering is the field of physics basically.
-
That last statement alone basically ruins your credibility.
-
Why? Try doing an engineering course without learning physics.
-
It's a lot more than physics, and even then the importance of physics caries for each field. A biomedical and chemical engineer will have physics at the bottom of the priority list. Mechanical engineers use physics the most and you need to delve into chemistry quite a bit.
-
he didnt say there is no physics involved. But you cant say engineering is basically physics. Engineering involves physics, chemistry, maths, financing, economics, language.

I suppose I am thinking of it from a pretty basic, functional level. I still think it's fair to say that physics is a pretty big part of it in the way that it lets you understand how a physical system will behave when making one.
