I know which one I'd rather be. Scientists that is. They're the ones that actually give the engineers something to work with.

  • What about the equipment engineers give to scientists to conduct their studies?

Wouldn't exist without science. The entire basis of engineering is the field of physics basically.

  • That last statement alone basically ruins your credibility.

  • Why? Try doing an engineering course without learning physics.

  • It's a lot more than physics, and even then the importance of physics caries for each field. A biomedical and chemical engineer will have physics at the bottom of the priority list. Mechanical engineers use physics the most and you need to delve into chemistry quite a bit.

  • he didnt say there is no physics involved. But you cant say engineering is basically physics. Engineering involves physics, chemistry, maths, financing, economics, language.

  • I suppose I am thinking of it from a pretty basic, functional level. I still think it's fair to say that physics is a pretty big part of it in the way that it lets you understand how a physical system will behave when making one.
