Mechs are impractical, they sacrifice everything for sleek design. I'd rather buy a tank that looks like ass that gets the job done over a Gundam that will starve my economy just to buy the bullets and turns into garbage when the head gets blown off by the tanks I could've bought.

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 5/12/2013 7:25:27 PMNo, Garra's right about this and I thought of that beforehand. However, my point wasn't that they could outdo tanks so much as the fact that they could sell based on image alone. And who knows, maybe they'll be afforded combat capability that far surpasses tanks someday. Afterall, tanks have their own flaws. For instance, tanks are slow and cannot maneuver for crap.

Mechs can be more maneoverable though :/ They can power punch their way through life and it would be hard to shoot it down. Basically like Pacific Rim But between humans instead of between humans and alien beings...
-
Are you kidding? Those things would move slow as hell, unless you had a battery that could solve the worlds energy crisis they could move maybe somewhat fast for all of five seconds before powering down.

They're less unmanouverable than tanks is what I'm saying cos they got more moving parts And of course thy run off DT fusion So there Until we can solve the problem of portable nuclear fusion it's not gonna happen
-
What about dealing with their possible Clunkiness?
-
They're not as clunky as tanks and the power from DT fusion would be able to change the speed of it quickly even if it has a lot of mass.
