Was meh for me. Pacing of the story lead to me getting bored of the whole thing. Both the main characters were completely unlikable for me. In addition, the story felt like it was trying to incorporate too many random plot elements, and thus didn't really completely satisfy me in any area.
The final battle was impressive though.

Really? Didn't people consider it to be fairly fast paced?

Well, I mean, it's fast-paced in the sense that there a mecha battles every episode, but, especially later in the show, that's pretty much all that happens. The mecha fights happen every other episode, or so, and it just starts feeling rather repetitive after a while. In addition, plot wise, for much of the series, Lelouch makes almost no progress in defeating Britannia, making the series feel like its just dragging on.
