Source code.
In a post on the website of libertarian activist Lew Rockwell, Mr. Paul said Monday that the governmental reaction to the tragic explosions was worse than the attack itself. The forced lockdown of much of the Boston area, police riding armored vehicles through the streets, and door-to-door searches without warrants were all reminiscent of a military coup or martial law, Paul added. “The Boston bombing provided the opportunity for the government to turn what should have been a police investigation into a military-style occupation of an American city,” according to Paul.
Agree or disagree? Do you think going door to door forced armed searches are cool with you? Or a violation of Fourth Amendment? I know Bungie is full of Constitutional lawyers. Do you feel comfortable with the government exercising such military-esque occupation?
The Constitution provides protection against unreasonable search or seizure. I think the fact that a terrorist bomber is loose in your city is reasonable cause for search.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized
What probable cause exists? Exigent circumstances exist if police have say, seen a felon flee into a residence. But obviously this wasn't based on that, but was just random sweeps of personal property.

 • One could argue that exigent circumstances existed. They didn't see him flee into a particular house, but they knew he fled into the suburb.
