If your art pisses people off, you're doing something right. That's the whole point of political cartoons; social/political commentary.

Learn how to use common sense. It's insensitive to use a tragedy to push a political motive. And bias mixed with a lack of social awareness doesn't constitute an argument.
Learn how to use common sense. It's insensitive to use a tragedy to push a political motive.
Where the hell were you for the 9/11 aftermath?

Are we just going to pretend that the West incident wasn't because of Perry's support of deregulation, leading to the deaths, injuries, and millions of dollars of damage?
-
I hope you don't mean that. You mean to tell me that insensitively making fun of over a dozen people that died is a GOOD thing? Just. Wow.
-
He's not making fun of the people who died. He's criticizing the deregulation under Perry. Do you not see the difference?
-
No, I do not. That picture has scathing satire written all over it.

Edited by Mad Max: 5/1/2013 4:58:11 AMNowhere in that picture are the deaths of the people referenced. Just an explosion, and Perry's support of deregulation. Political "cartoons" are a misnomer. They're not cartoons; they don't make you laugh.

Edited by Gaara444: 5/1/2013 4:46:20 AMSo why are people so Up In Arms about the "Assault Pressure Cooker" image? They're condemning that to Hell and back. Seems a bit contradictory.

agreed. oh and for the record, there was a call for more gun control after the boston bombing. the senator's rebuttal was deserved.
