Considering that I don't approve of gay marriage and whatnot, I feel like this film would just deeply disturb me.
(This does not mean I hate gay people)

Edited by Emperor Bell: 4/28/2013 7:34:10 AMI assumed it was one of those things where "people who understand don't need to watch and people who don't understand, won't." But then I looked at its comments on Facebook and a girl said that she treated Gays the same and didn't realize how it was. I'm paraphrasing here, but it went something like this: "Wow, I've hated Gays my whole life but if this is how they have to live then maybe I was wrong."

I'm sorry but i'm not sure I understand how your response relates to my comment? If you could re-write it in a more direct manner that would be nice.

You were saying that you don't want to watch the video because you don't approve of Gay marriage for whatever reason. I mentioned that I first thought the video would only be properly understood by people who already understand and that the people who wouldn't understand it wouldn't need to watch it. After thinking that, I saw the mentioned comment. Then, seeing that you are against equal rights, I brought it up as if to say "well, it changed somebody else's mind, so you never know." But I can sort of see where you might not understand me.

I never said I was against equal rights. I just said that my personal opinion is that it's not right. However if society has come to accept it then I will tolerate it rather than fight it. Hopefully you understand that it's just an opinion rather than a deep-seeded hate. And I perfectly understand what your saying, it's just that things like gay couples is a little unsettling to me, that's all. It's like a person who doesn't like horror movies. You may not like them, but that doesn't mean that directors should stop making them. You simply have a different opinion.

Ahh, I see. Still, disapproving to the point where seeing an LGBT couple together makes you uncomfortable is at least borderline being against. But, I'm not here to argue so I'll shut up, rather just to discuss a good short-film I found.
