I thought it was a decent game, but inevitably the game had such a hype surrounding it that anything less that stellar was going to seem like a disappointment.

Well the two other games in the genre to come out at around the same time were Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile and both of those are better. D3 costs £40, while Torchlight 2 costs £20 and Path of Exile is free.
