Noooo....
Dragons already ruined Game of thrones for me. (I thought it was metaphical or just mythology - Like with greek mythology zuez throwing lightning) Spoiler: there are actual dragons.... (conjecture: unless the girl is just crazy and it's all a hallucination or a dream)

Imagine playing Skyrim without Dragons. You will have the same feeling if Destiny didn't have dragons.

It'd be a different game, for sure - but that doesn't mean it would have been a worse game. Just like Game of Thrones. I thought it was going to be a more military focused story (akin to things like Robin hood) than fantasy (akin to Tolkien). I like the former better, personally.
