Haha, oh god, people still believe Russia is a formidable military power. Christ, they're worst than the U.S. is at counter insurgency operations. Not to mention the fact that they had trouble maintaining command and control during a small conflict with the Georgia. France could kick their ass, for Allah's sake.

They have many Nukes and a large military (Given it is outdated). It is a military threat, but not one you should expect to see anything happen with.
