Its not patriotism, its military strength. Small countries with no nuclear weapons would be very intimidated by a letter that says "Surrender or we'll nuke you".

WWII Russia couldn't even occupy Finland. It wasn't even a guerrilla war that drove the Red Army off, they got badly mauled and humiliated by the much smaller Finnish army.

You do realize they only won the first winter war, Russia came back like a year later and defeated them. Not to mention they were forced to give Russia territory to.

No they didn't, what year are you talking about? Finland humiliated the Red Army completely in the Winter War and it was a major political success for the Germans and Hitler was even more encouraged to invade Russia. Then Russia tried to occupy Finland again in 1944 and lost all the decisive battles and the Finnish army was still kicking strong as late as September 1944.

Yeah, but then they agreed to give 10% of their land and turned over to the Soviet side. And to this day, they're denying that they're being heavily influenced by Russia.

That is correct, most of the ceded territories Finland agreed to give were still in Finnish army's hands. I don't see how Finland is today heavily influenced by Russia, at least in a negative way, though.

Now, it's the USA with 11 super carriers, 19,000+ aircraft, 267 modern Naval ships, global satellite and infrared where ( Only one in the world ), hundreds of thousands if not millions of missiles, 8,000 modern high tec tanks etc etc etc. Not even counting the thousands of nuclear armed ICBMs which would threaten the world and all the classified tech we have right now. The majority of countries don't even have 1/20 what we have. You should check out the aerial K/D of our fighterts during desert storm. Or the tanks.

Well, the USA has very poor quality air and missile defense compared to China. So it'd be unlikely we could get very many aircraft flying over their country in a wartime situation.

WHAT During desert storm only 1 missile made it through our patriot missile defenses. And that was because of a human error as well. The Chinese have a horrible Navy and air force as well. What are you an arm chair war analyst? "The USA has very poor quality missiles". Son, we have the best of everything.

that as 1990's this is 2013 Europe alone could take on the US and since Russia is weaker than the US then Russia has no chance of winning. So that's only 52 countries in the fight so the other 150 combined is will steam role the other country. The US and Russia will be against the world which will have the resources of the planet at it's disposal while the US and Russia only have what is in their borders.

Lol Most countries today still use tech that Saddam used if not worse. You're just saying countries. The USA alone spends more on defense then all those countries in Europle combined. We have better fighters, more ICBMs, more and better ships, space advantage, more oil etc etc. If the USA went 1940s Germany world domination, we would just take over Cananda and we would have more then enough oil to fuel a god war machine.
