  • Debt free, so several thousand. I had heard that new parts were coming down the pipe so at this point the aim isn't so much as to build the ulimate gaming rig as it is to build something for cheap that will have enough capacity to play games like Starcraft II, Guild Wars on medium graphical ability.

  • Why do you need a CPU cooler if the i5 comes with a perfectly fine stock cooler that doesn't need upgrading unless you overclock quite a bit?

  • Intel's stock cooler is not that good, and a good CPU cooler leaves room for overclocking potential (hence the i5-2500k)
