Actually Gamespot is only relaying what Activision told them which is that they "dont expect Destiny to be a a part of their 2013 sales." They didnt say it wont be however. Come E3, Bungie could decide the game is ready and throw a shocker at us stating a 2013 winter release. Remember that in most cases, the developer controls when a game comes out. If they need more time, they push back the release. If they get done early and absolutely feel that it cannot hold anything else, they start producing it and CAN move up the release date. Just because Activision doesnt expect it to be a part of their 2013 sales, doesnt mean it wont be. Bungie could have just told them right after their press release that the game will be done in time. Or for all we know, cause we know Bungie likes to trick us, they couldve gotten Activision to play along and dish out "fake" information to the media to throw us off till whenever theyre ready to make the announcement on their own. What is a better way to throw off potential hackers and leaks than to literally hand out "fake" information as real information and call it a leak?
