I'd be surprised if Microsoft waited until E3 to announce the 720 when they are have a press conference before then. It seems logical that they will use E3 to show off the launch titles.

More than likely Microsoft will be discussing their next console at this event, much like Sony's Conference - it's just there isn't an "official" confirmation of it yet.
