Plasma Rifle vs Plasma Repeater vs Storm Rifle
Which version of this iconic weapon do you like best, and why?
For me, my favorite in terms of function and accuracy is the CE Plasma Rifle, but I love how the Reach one looks and sounds. In second would be the beta Plasma Repeater, which was just -blam!-ing awesome.

Covenant weapons just got weaker and weaker after that. Even the Repeater and Storm Rifle can't compete with the Halo: CE Plasma Rifle.

CE plasma rifle was my favourite it tore the flood apart and was my favourite weapon to use against my bro in split screen multiplayer

Old thread but a worthy discussion... The Halo CE Plasma rifle is the superior weapon IMO. The rage caused by the stun effect is hilarious.

I love halo reach and halo 3! My favorite plasma weapons are the plasma repeater and the plasma rifle. The storm rifle really isn't my favorite...

1 ReplyCE PR is best PR. It pretty much doubles as a mid-range semi-precision weapon because it's projectile and not hitscan.

CE plasma rifle in all ways. Next comes CEA plasma rifle (that sound). Next comes the Storm Rifle (because it's actually possible to get kills with it, and I like the visual effect of the projectiles. The sound is a bit too metallic for me.) Next comes the Halo 2/3 Plasma Rifle (this is where quality drops IMO. I don't know, the "warble" of the gun makes it sound like a toy). Next comes the Reach Plasma Rifle (sounds tame, fires lame, too many things to blame) Next comes the Plasma Repeater (lol at sandbox clogging) Next comes the ODST Brute Plasma Rifle (at least it had a place in the sandbox) And finally the Brute Plasma Rifle, which I absolutely despise. If I ever run out of ammo in Halo 2, and the only weapon left is the Brute Plasma Rifle, I'll probably take my chances meleeing the enemies.

I liked the brute plasma rifle, because everyone knows red is the best color. I liked all the other plasma rifles, except for the storm rifle.

I'm going to go with the ODST Brute Plasma Rifle. It only lacked against Engineers.
