1964 Ford Mustang.
$10k for the car, $10k for the restorations, and $10k to trick out the paint and sound system.

First off, there is no '64 Mustang. There's a '64 and a half Mustang, but even that is a somewhat dubious classification. Secondly, if you own a '64 and a half or '65 Mustang, you should never rice it out with a $10k sound system.
-
If someone wants to, they should be able to. And the 1/2 year model is referred to as the '64. No one actually spells it all the way out. Its not like the '70 & 1/2 Camaro, where there were significant differences between the '69 and '71 models.
-
I've never seen a '64 and a half abbreviated as a '64. And just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Ricing out classic muscle cars makes you look like a colossal douche with no taste.
-
First, yes it was a 64 1/2, BUT no one in the car field identifies it that way. It shouldn't even say 1/2, for it was released in April... It should have been 64 1/3. Second, you CAN NOT RICE OUT A MUSTANG. Are you proposing that some one drop in a 2.0 VTEC 4-wheezer and put a 35lb of boost turbo on it?

Regardless, you can rice anything. All you need to do is put massive of amounts of money into stereo systems, shitty body kits, gaudy paint, stupid wheels, and pretty much anything that makes the car more obnoxious without adding any performance.

I've seen it, but don't recall them swapping out the V8. Customizing (yes, in some cases ruining cars has been going on since the first stripped down hot rods. Ricing is still indicative of a Japanese car being modded. Detroit iron has a rice allergy.
I've seen it, but don't recall them swapping out the V8.
They used the engine from the Silvia that was wrecked towards the beginning of the movie. Thankfully muscle cars are left alone for the most part, but it can still happen.

I'm fine with it, so long as you don't go super-douch and put D's on it. I HAAAAATE seeing classic cars with massive rims that make them look like life-sized matchbox cars.
-
Now, we are all agreed though, a mid-60's Ford mustang, properly restored and tricked out would be the best use of $30k for a chick magnet car?
-
Wouldn't be my personal choice, but yeah. A lot of chicks really dig old Mustangs. Especially red convertibles with white interiors.
-
Muscle donk?
-
Love the car, hate the wheels.
-
I can only imagine how terrible that rides on a live axle with rubber-band tires.

That is a desecration of a perfectly serviceable fast-back. If you want to do meatballs and pizza-cutters, fine, but...that? please lie face down in the ditch and make your peace with god.
