I wouldn't like it because if you travel to the planet then you should know what it is. Also they are alien inhabited now. They probably don't like humans and would try to remove any trace of them. Maybe the occasional flag in a tomb or a human building but not right when you set down. There could be hints but the chances of you landing and finding a lets say mars flag in the ground by you is pretty slim especially since aliens are there.

Who says they actually have to be flags for alien inhibited planets though? What if they're carved ruin symbols say for Cabel, Fallen etc?

I'm sure there could be alien symbols but the aliens probably wouldn't need to make permanent structures and if they did they would be extremely new. So ruins no. Maybe each race could have a symbol on their armor or something but you know. Until Bungie reveals more or we play the game we will never know.

Indeed. Just thought I would change it up. This whole concept is based on someone else's work and none of this is confirmed at all to be in Destiny at any place, just making speculation!
