Beta is coming sooner than we think. At least that's what I was thinking while reading this. Good find.

I agree, for what Joe Staten said in the article, I don't see a beta any time soon and I'm fine with it, Bungie knows what they are doing.

I...wouldn't get your hopes up for a Beta. I mean, it [i]could[/i] happen, but I don't want everyone to get on the Beta-train then there not be one and start screaming at Bungie.

I totally hear you. I don't think there will be an "open" beta. But I'm pretty sure they will need at least a few thousand people to test a game of this magnitude. The last thing we want is a mucked up launch.

But they could get a few thousand testers just from the Activision pool or 3rd party testing firms. Now if they need a 10's or 100's of thousands they could start asking non-professional testers. They mainly need us for stress testing servers and data mining.
