Until they can go the same distances without needing a recharge, are as affordable, and making the batteries and disposing of the batteries is not the HUGE ecological mess that it is, no.

I was actualyl watching videos of peopel who built there own eletrical cars. One guy has a car that drag races with high 10"s and is pretty fast and beats nearly everyone. His car takes 11 minutes to fully charge and runs on 27 lithium batteries.

Lightweight ,all torque right now, yeah it ought to be fast. I can't listen to it right now at work. Too many ears around. But my original question was how many passes down the track can he go between charges. With the short recharge time you mentioned, I wondered if he depleted the batteries after just a couple runs or if he got any major amount or miles per charge.

The guy who owns the car commented on the saying that it "gets 10 runs in between charges easily" I think the video might have more info but its def a good watch. And dont think 10 runs is a small distance, keep in mind he is flooring it each time and also hes no trying to maximize his mileage, its just a track car. But this video has some pretty good pro's on electrical cars

I agree, but at least this shows that high performance cars won't die when the gasoline engine does.
