Worst video game villains
Which is the worst video game antagonist you have ever seen

What do you mean by worst? if your meaning hard to kill and hard all together (LOL) i would say The Re-generator other wise known as "The Hunter" (Dead Space)

Lol at the amount of people saying the Didact. The fight with him was very underwhelming, yes, but that does not make him a bad villain. Not even close. I'm pretty sure 343 set him up to be defeated that way in order for him to survive for the following Halo 5 and 6. If you had riddled him with bullets to no end, everyone would call bullshit on him surviving into the later games. He's not dead and people need to accept that.

7 RepliesEdited by Joyeuse7: 4/12/2013 2:17:38 PMFor those who did not read the forerunner trilogy I would say the Didact for more recent games, his character is not explained at all in game, and his motivation is only revealed in his epilogue at the end, he feels more like a plot device than a character. Edit: I think the worst ever would be the generic brown/asian people from (insert modern military shooter name here).

H3: Gravemind (so many teases), Cortana (those dang moments) Reach: Noble Team (shot me in the back, took too long to kill enemies, spent much of their time armor locking, were virtually useless) H4: Didact (lolQTE) CE: Captain Keyes (I never had a problem with him getting killed but I know many have suffered at the hands of his incompetence)

I enjoyed Skyrim but in all honesty, Alduin was a terrible villain and had a pitiful boss fight at that. I think he appeared a grand total of 3 or 4 times throughout the game. Virtually no time was spent fleshing out his character.

Damian, from Divinity 2. Essentially the anti-Christ, but the most cliche villain of all time. Dr. Evil has better strategies. The picture above: "Hey there, I saw you peeking at me through a vision, so I teleported directly to you. I now know you're a great threat and could ruin my plans, but all I'm going to do is say 'don't do that' and kick you a little bit."

1 ReplyKai Leng was a great villain! He was a total badass. Tartar Sauce is a much worse antagonist. He's just some stupid monkey with a shiny hammer, with terrible dialogue. "Har har, my faith is strong! All shall kiss the Prophets' majestic asses!"

23 RepliesUr-Didact. For somebody that's supposed to be all big and bad he easily got killed. The Prometheans. They weren't fun at all to fight they were just annoying. They are bullet sponges that teleport around the map. I was playing on Legendary, but still. 343 should have realized that them having that much health, teleporting and some with shotguns. Was just dumb and dickish move to do. Did they even play test the game on the higher difficulties?

Kefka is my pick for worst villain. When I was playing FF6 I just remember thinking how lame and corny this character is for a villain.... yeah, he eventually does become this super being with his thirst for power, but I just could not stand putting up with him during his scenes...

Not the worst, just one I can think of, but the Didact was pretty bad. Without watching the terminals and reading the recent books his motivation is left totally unexplained.

Phillipe Loren from Saint's Row the Third... Because he made very little sense then died after the first act... I was convinced he'd survived and would return as part of a later plot point but no, the writing was actually that bad...
