No to all of those ideas, that would be a major pain in the ass to have to shoot differently on different planets.

Edited by hopla: 4/8/2013 1:38:03 PMThis would only really matter if you're a long range sniper. Also, you would view this in the same light even if you could eliminate bullet drop through loot/upgrades/sidegrades/space-magic?

If it only effects snipers I suppose I wouldn't care. If they push the realistic physics aspect though then it would also mean you couldn't run properly on other planets, and we know from the gameplay we've seen that's not the case. It would be a good way to prevent unskilled snipers getting undeserved kills though

Quickly referencing this, let's just say high-end slugs can travel at 3[km/s] in Destiny, that's only 1.7 feet of adjustment for every kilometer. In that scenario only snipers would be worrying about it. Well they have been saying physics on the moon are fun so I think they're real, keep in mind those magic Spartan boots that adhere just the right amount and never put massive divots in the ground. I'm guessing there will probably be areas where gravity in 'normal' because a comfortable level of gravity is something any spacefaring civilization would like I think. Outside on the planet wastes would be a different story I'd imagine.

yeah .22 centerfire snipers in destiny

well, 1.7 for the first km anyway. Obviously that would accelerate, but yeah you're right that would only effect snipers. Having special boots that grip when you run but don't when you jump is the only way you could do that. They'd have to do it the right way for that to add to the game though or it could be pretty lame.

Edited by hopla: 4/8/2013 5:57:35 PMOh yeah derp not trying to do that math, thanks for the correction but if you want to get real technical it would be less than 1.7. BOOM math skills blowing you out of the water. Magic boots from space, g. edit makes it look like I corrected my math. Damn you universe-!

Lol I assumed you'd worked it out correctly. Math graduate right here so I'll go toe to toe with you any day haha.

hahaha you're on. Prepare to win, mother-blam!-er!
