This could be a good thing. While LucasArts may be gone, they said that they'd still license other peoples' games, and some of the greatest Star Wars games ever, were made by external developers. So don't look at this as a bad thing, look at it as a chance for more quality Star Wars games and less Kinect Star Wars.

  • Yeah, but at the same time they canceled two games I was really looking forward to.

1313 didn't look to great to me and this thread is actually the first I've heard of First Assault. Regardless of my opinions on the quality of LucastArts recent games, it does kinda suck that they had to be shutdown in the middle of their projects, but like I said, this could very well lead to the birth of many great Star Wars games to look forward to. The real downside here, is that it'll probably be some time before one is even announced.

  • The internal studios at Lucasarts weren't exactly an Irrational Games or Bungie. If their track record this generation is anything to go by those games weren't going to be great. People excited for 1313 were excited because the game looked so visually appealing. I get that. It looked great. There are going to be other visually stunning Star Wars games though.
