This video series helped me pick out my parts(now all I need to do is get the money for it T.T). I recommend this to everyone who is thinking about building a PC.

  • Would you mind if I looked at your part list?

Go with the i5 3470, $15 less price difference, and from what I can tell no massive differences. That motherboard is not necessary, unless you absolutely love it's features/looks. I would go with a ASRock Extreme4 Z77 if you can part with that board. ~$40 saved. Get a 7950 or 7870 XT, depending on what if any changes you make to save a little. The 7870 XT will perform on or near the level of the 660 Ti for $240, the 7950 will demolish the 660 Ti, and even a 670 possibly for ~$310. As far as I can tell AMD pretty much dominates nVidia in this episode of the GPU wars. Now take possible money saved and apply it to other things! ;D
