Well I believe 343 is going to make some real choices to return to core gameplay when it comes to Halo 5. It will have bumpy road and it will need the community stamp of approval, but ultimately it's going to do well unless they really embrace their heads being planted in the sand. With that said I also think Bungie is going to release something truly ground breaking and will bolster PS4 sales. I really think 343 will do a 180 and try to cater to the competitive, especially with Bravo over there being a consultant/employee and the blowback of retention of players and DLC sales. So Halo 5 might be the essential PVP game and Destiny will be the essential PVE campaign and social adventure. To be honest both games are going to be in every gamer's library.

  • Haha LOL! I'm not getting Halo 5 unless I see some MAJOR improvements.

  • Yeah at this point my main interest is in the fiction...Halo multiplayer has mostly lost its allure.

  • Yeah I think Halo 4 alienated some of their core audience with the changes with weapon placement and taking a step back with Forge. I think they are starting to right the ship some. I am very curious to see how Bungie caters to all the Forgers in Destiny and how that will be incorporated into the overall game dynamic. One area Bungie continued to revolutionize in the Halo franchise was giving players more and more power to shape their gaming environment through editing tools. By the end, Bungie let us have a significant impact on the multiplayer in Halo, but I wonder if they'll give the community even greater power beyond multiplayer in Destiny?
