A polite thread about mobile browsing issues

So periodically, when browsing on my iPhone (on 3G and WiFi; Chrome, Safari, and Firefox; iPhone 4S, fully updated; low battery and high battery) the site will go into a fit where it crashes on the simplest things. It'll crash when reformatting after a zoom. It'll crash when clicking the reply button. I've never been able to reply to one of those "Selected Answer" responses to a Question Post; I'm not sure it's possible. I don't know if it's just too much formatting to load all at once, or what. This happens even with no other apps running in the background. If anyone has any insight on this issue, it'd be much appreciated.

  • Such a strange issue. We haven't seen it here, but we will look into it in more depth today.

I made a few FAQs 20 yrs ago - old

It wasn't as bad on Bungie.old, but it did crash every now and then too. I personally believe it's simply because the iPhone can't handle all of the javascript or whatever is used to create the site and perform all of its actions.

    • Yeah, it happens to me too on my iPod 5. I hate it. It's practically impossible to use.
