You're implying a couple things. First, that the re-ignition of the Korean conflict wouldn't hurt the regional economy of the Indo-Pacific, and therefore hurt us. Second, you're implying that North Korea isn't capable of exacting significant damage against their Southern counterparts.

Not us, but South Korea and (possibly) Japan. The North Koreans have enough artillery lined up that if any kind of war ignites, Seoul could be flattened within the hour.
