I have absolutely no idea what you're asking me to do. Did you try the blue thing?

Each quote has to be paired with a literacy technique such as alliteration, assonance, personification, etc. I've got some techniques picked out for them, but some I had never heard of until researching.

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 3/30/2013 12:40:19 AMWell you got me there. To me who gives a damn about techniques? Just write what you're gonna write. I guess that's just my way of saying I have no freaking idea. I'd have to do some research. I got one from the following site: http://examples.yourdictionary.com/alliteration-examples.html
Alliteration occurs when a series of words in a row (or close to a row) have the same first consonant sound. For example, “She sells sea-shells down by the sea-shore” or “Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers” are both alliterative phrases. In the former, all the words start with the “s” sound, while in the later, the letter “p” takes precedence. Aside from tongue twisters, alliteration is also used in poems, song lyrics, and even store or brand names.
Might label 5 be an example of alliteration? I think the other is 7. 5. "Even after forty years my father was not reconciled to it." 7. "Most of all I remember his strong, bare, sun-darkened arms on either side of me as I sat on the petrol tank." Also this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXnxshDuVIo

Eek, everyone does in the HSC. We have to relate three texts to belonging by using concepts, quotes (with their techniques) and then explanations of quotes and how they fit with the concept. 1 and 2 are ownership 3 and 4 are love 5 and 6 are time 7 and 8 are place I've got the concepts down, just need to validate my techniques :/

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 3/30/2013 12:47:23 AMYou mean you just need to expalin which techniques these use? Easy stuff if you study up on each technique and the next time you look through the sentences you'll read through them with a different eye. Best I can say is good luck even though you probably won't need it. (Damn now I wish I could go back to elementary school and be a child genious)
