Why wouldn't you make the avatar match the gun if you can't see the symbol? If it is a manufacturer, why would they have their company symbol the inverse of what it is on every single one of their products? It doesn't make any sense.
I'm not trying to be difficult I am honestly curious. Why does it make sense? If your symbol is going to be one color on every single product, why wouldn't you just make the symbol that appears on every one of your products your symbol?
If the symbol in the game is a black dot surrounded by white ones, while the avatar is a white dot surrounded by black dots, why wouldn't you just make the avatar the black dot surrounded by white ones? Why inverse it?
I'm not being stubborn I'm legitimate asking because I honest to goodness do not understand how it makes sense whatsoever. What is the reasoning?
Bleh.
I couldn't find any particularly good real world examples, and it's a little hard to articulate, but when you're just stamping your logo on a machine part or gun part, you don't need to be terribly fancy and have the full colors of the logo. Especially if the logo is mostly recognizeable for it's shape rather than it's color.
The Main Coca-Cola Logo is Red, but sometimes on glass bottles there will be a white logo. Is it a travesty that their identifying logo isn't the same color? Not particularly, the shape of the letters themselves are very recognizeable, and the same goes for this FOTC symbol. Also, the fact of the matter is that red letters wouldn't look good on a glass bottle, be it empty or full of Cola.
Not to mention, not all of the guns the FOTC produce are black, some are white. Trying to enforce a single logo color just wouldn't work on the different types of guns.
Like I said, the inverted colors probably don't mean anything. It's not like DeeJ's symbol is for the CTOF, the evil alternate universe version of the FOTC.

CTOF eh?
Celsius to Fahrenheit (converter)
Charge Time-Of-Flight
Closed Top Open Front (paint spray booth)
Corrected Time-of-Flight
Chapel Tithes and Offering Fund (US Army Chaplaincy)
Career & Training Opportunities Fair
We must dig deeper.
Fair enough. Point noted. Although...
It's not like DeeJ's symbol is for the CTOF, the evil alternate universe version of the FOTC.
You may be on to something... hmm.
