Titan armour shown at GDC is classed as 'Legendary'.
Check the file name. Not exactly groundbreaking news but worth noting nonetheless.

I had a feeling that it was some pretty rare gear they were presenting when showing off the classes.

Not to be a debbie-downer or anything, but the pic might just be labeled legendary because it's a badass pic and Bungie likes the word legendary. Especially since we don't know anything of "classes" of armor even existing. I could be wrong though.

maybe its they'r form of armour levels, and legendary is something extra rare that you can only find

I'm definitely rolling a titan when I get Destiny. Bungie really outdid themselves when it came to designing the armors.
