Just putting out a quick "Thank You!" to all the people who posted so far! I actually made it to Blighttown!

This might be a little late by now, but your first journey into Blighttown can be a bitch. Make sure you have plenty of estus, purple moss, and blooming moss.

I've got plenty, but I don't know what to do with the moss. Do I just use it every time I get poisoned? I went through the first little bit of Blighttown, got hit by that thing with a blow dart, and died... Now, I'm back to farming souls and titanite shards in the Depths...

When you get poisoned by either the swamp or the mosquitoes eat a purple moss and use a blooming moss when the blow dart guys get you with toxin.

OK. Thank you. I made it to the bonfire in the tunnel so far, but I'm taking a break from Dark Souls now.

When you return to it the boss room will be inside the hill to the right on the other side of the swamp as you leave the tunnel. Be prepared for a fight.

Alright. Any advice for what to use or how to fight the boss?

If this isn't too late, watch the top for signs of attack. When it goes limp you need to get away fast. For melee try to stick as close as you can to it along its right side (your left)
