I see nothing wrong with the kid having the gun if he was trained by his father on how to properly handle it. Big Government has convinced the sheeple guns are evil. It is probably good he knows how to handle a firearm in case someone tries to break into the home and his parents are not there.

  •
The chief noted that Moore is a member of a local sportsmen club
The father is a member of a local sportsmen club. Sportsmen clubs respect the rules of proper firearm usage, logically the father would know the rules of proper firearm usage if he's an acting member. My dad wasn't a member of a firearm club, but he hunted all his life and taught me how to properly handle a firearm. Why do you assume that the father is firearm illiterate?

One would assume that is the antithesis to your argument. Twat (Cool kids call others twats rite?)

  • I don't remember arguing anything in this thread, I just felt like criticizing Sken because he's Sken and deserves all of it.

  •
Why do you automatically assume that the father is qualified to train his child on how to properly handle firearms?
Sounds like you're arguing against Sken saying that the father taught his kid how to handle the firearm.

  • Well, I wasn't. If I actually cared about this particular incident, I'd be replying to others besides Skenny. I skimmed through the article and decided to not get into the thread discussion......then I saw Skenny and rage consumed me, I had to criticize him. He's Skenny. Even if he posts an opinion that I agree with, I must nitpick his posts and criticize him. He's Skenny and deserves it because he's Skenny. If he doesn't like it, then he should have thought about that before he became all Skenny. It's a shame he doesn't posts in threads like these often.

  • Then don't call me a twat for calling you out if you put your post out there, even if it's just to demean another user.

  • No, I called you a twat because you made an absurd assumption. I have a feeling that this offends you, so I won't hesitate to do so when necessary from this point on. :)

  • I don't get upset by being called names on the internet, just don't know why you got so buttmad that you felt you had to call me a twat to refute what I said.
you made an absurd assumption.
You implied that the father might not know enough about firearms to be able to teach his child. I asked you why you think he's firearm illiterate. Apparently going off of what you're implying is an absurd assumption. K

  • ... Except for the fact it's so much more likely the kid would harm someone or himself rather than his dad getting in the paper for being a hero.

  • Stop. That "kid" is more educated on guns than you are. Thus, he would be more safe when handling one.

That's not what I was saying. Justifying that the kid should know how to fire a gun because someone might break in is illogical if it is more likely he would hurt himself or someone else before ever saving anyone. I couldn't care less if guns were banned or not, the root causes behind the violence we see in the news today are poverty and mental health. However, stricter gun sales to idiots couldn't hurt since so many of them cause accidents from improper handling.

  • The kid obviously knows how to handle a gun judging by the picture. His father is a member of firearm clubs and would definitely teach his child trigger control. I'd say you're more likely to accidentally shoot yourself than this kid is. Also, you're so cute making invalid statements with no evidence to back them up.

  • My point is that justifying that the kid could save a life with gun training is illogical due to the fact that criminals rarely invade suburban homes compared to the amount of accidents irresponsible and uneducated gun owners cause a year. As long as he is properly trained to use lethal weapons, I cannot care less about the picture.

  •
As long as he is properly trained to use lethal weapons, I cannot care less about the picture.
Then why the -blam!- did you respond? Oh wait, you didn't wait to get all the facts and decided to insult the person. Typical.

  • Because I always respond to posts I disagree with.
Big Government has convinced the sheeple guns are evil. It is probably good he knows how to handle a firearm in case someone tries to break into the home and his parents are not there.
This is probably the stupidest thing I've heard him ever say. But then again, he was kicked out of Sapphire, and we all know the kind of person it takes to get kicked out.

  •
Because I always respond to posts I disagree with.
Are you stupid? You weren't even responding directly about Sken, you were saying the kid was an idiot with the gun and was likely to shoot himself or someone else. That's not disagreeing, that's not hearing all the facts and jumping to an invalid conclusion.
This is probably the stupidest thing I've heard him ever say. But then again, he was kicked out of Sapphire, and we all know the kind of person it takes to get kicked out.
He's not wrong though. The term "Assault Weapon" never existed before politicians made it up. http://www.assaultweapon.info/

  • I never said anything about assault weapons, I'm not looking for an argument, all I did was show him why his claim was illogical.

  •
I never said anything about assault weapons, I'm not looking for an argument, all I did was show him why his claim was illogical.
Are you seriously kidding with me? You called his statement stupid and I backed it up by showing you that the government does indeed generate fear of firearms. You didn't have to say anything about assault weapons for them to be relevant. You thought his statement was stupid and I used assault weapons to prove you wrong.

  • Your post hardly has any sense to it. Stop trying to pick a fight, my only point is X (I'm not regurgitate it for the third time just for you), and I showed him why he was wrong. You're trying to get a pro-gun debate going and your barking at the wrong tree for that.

  • Implying that you even know anything about firearms when I've already proven that you don't and then ignoring my statements by calling them nonsensical in an attempt to make yourself seem better while not having to refute my argument or admit that you're wrong. And no, he wasn't wrong and no, you didn't show why he was wrong. You said, "lol you're stupid" and that's it.
