Calling me an idiot? Wow, way to be mature. They can be married in 9 states, with civil unions in 5-6 more. Illinois is close to becoming State 10, and if SCOTUS is smart, California will be state 11. It's gaining momentum, and it doesn't matter if you don't like it. It will happen.

The only thing you say is, "learn how surveys are conducted" as if you are implying that the American majority does not agree with gay marriage, when they clearly do according to the polls.

Actually if DOMA is repealed then the southern states won't be able to refuse to recognise same sex married couples. So if that's repealed then they'll have to accept that they can get married.

So, DOMA gets repealed, then the Southern States would throw a hissy fit or something. Then all 50 states would be swept into it. I sincerely hope DOMA gets repealed.
