i have just learnt that the NYPD has decided to reduce the number of peopel that report domestic abuse.... run a Criminal background check on them when they report it.Why would they do this time of thing because all it does is make people less likely to report abuse because they do not want the NYPD doing such a check and they are right to feel so.Why does their criminal history(or lack there of) matter in a case where they are being abused. What are your thoughts on this?
