there are a lot more images on these if you pause at the right time on the vidoc you can see a broken one at the bottom of the screen. Also there is a concept picture that has the same structure. I think we will see these across the world as we play Destiny, The easiest way for me to think about these are fast travel stations.

Yea they definitely are recurring. Obviously a portal would entail movement from one to the other, but seeing how big the world's are supposed to be it would make sense to have a network of them. Not too sure how I feel entirely about them if that is the case.

I will speculate more when I see more about destiny, but they could also be created from the time travelers.
