Things get cut from videogames yet assets are left laying around for them in the final game?!?!? Hold the phone!

It's the idea that stuff people actually wanted(and that were loved and played on previous games) were cut out.
-
Life sorta happens. I'm not trying to defend 343 Industries here because it is a tad silly that former gametypes and such and custom games got hit the way they did, but regardless of whether or not they scrubbed the code clean of erroneous assets, numerous experiences are cut from every game all the time.
-
I don't see the point there are plenty of game developers that cut items from the final product usually due to lack of time.
-
Ok then and here they are. I decided to post this because I know a lot of people actually wanted these gametypes to return.
-
It seems more like you are trying to make 343i out to be the bad guy just because they didn't include some gametypes. Just be happen there are even audio files of them showing 343i was considering adding them to the game, but probably ran out of time.
-
Or it's 343 making a dick move. 343 is a fucking disgrace and should be fired immediately.
-
I am going to need to see some code before you state such things. Pulling up unused audio files isn't a hard thing to do for the most part. If he actually showed the gametypes as being complete then I could understand hating 343i for this. Though seeing as how that isn't what was shown in the video then I can only assume they ran out of time. Considering how unfinished the game was at launch it is most likely a time thing not them trying to be assholes.

Edited by SergeantFlood: 3/14/2013 3:08:20 AM343 outsourced more than half the fucking game to other companies (who suck, but that's besides the point). They had plenty of time on their own god damn hands.
They had plenty of time on their own god damn hands.
What's this? You're a now former 343 employee who broke his NDA to tell us that they had plenty of time? What's that? You're just talking out of your bum? M'kay.
-
Edited by SergeantFlood: 3/14/2013 5:07:43 AMWell, they did. They had over 4 years and they still outsourced things like multiplayer maps, armor, vehicles, gameplay mechanics, etc to companies like Certain Affinity. And you know what we got? Excuses. Nothing but excuses.
-
Edited by Mr Funland: 3/15/2013 4:06:15 AMWell Certain Affinity made alot of the maps for Bungie Halo too

I am not going to deny the game was handled poorly and 343i sucks, but this seems more like people acting as if they were denied something that was already in the game. The point is they haven't been denied anything if the code isn't there it isn't there. Unused audio files doesn't mean much. Since having a guy say a bunch of words is a lot easier than programming something like a gametype.
