A VERY dangerous night would be stupid, as most casual players would stay inside or skip to dawn (is that's possible)

  • Just like how in Minecraft, players would sleep in their bed when it gets dark so that they can skip to dawn.

  • Try getting everyone in the Destiny world to fall asleep at once. :P

  • In an open world game?

  • i don't think a waiting system is possible in destiny as in say Skyrim. it has been rumored that this game will run all the time and things will happen even if your not there so that leads me to believe that the day?night cycle will not be changeable. such as you are logged into a server that is set in your specific timezone so the day and night cycle will be the same as in real life. again this is speculative and all game information is capable of changing dramatically as bungie sees fit.

  • Yeah, a waiting system is impossible in this sort of world. It can't be night for some and day for others if they want a seamless transition in and out of coop. It could be day on certain planets and not others though. That is easily possible. Also, I don't think video game players would just stay inside. That would be pretty pansy-ish and unrewarding entirely. I think people would be far too impatient for that. If it was a problem I would say they should just have a planet that is dangerous day and night with high risk/reward.

[/quote] Two words: "Casual Gamers" You really think the CoD and Angry Bird players who think they'll try it out will take risks and go out during a period of time that comes with heightened danger? Pansy is basically their middle name.

  • True, but casual gamers also don't really have time to just sit around and wait for time to pass either. I don't think it should be Dead Souls difficult, but just enough to make you a little on edge.

  • I think if it was Dead Souls difficult, even the dedicated players would give up, and only the ultra hardcore would be left.
