I've never seen any of the Godfather series, Titanic, or Pearl Harbor.
My wife is disappointed in the fact that I have no desire to see the last two.
I don't like the idea of using a historical tragedy as a backdrop for an otherwise mediocre love story.

Please, PLEASE watch Godfather 1. Do yourself a favor, heck, just because you mentioned it, I'm gonna watch it again right now!

Yep. I've had personal experience with organized crime that was mixed with family, and it's a tragedy that strikes very close to home for me. The idea that the films are a deeply emotional and violent dramatization of that... I am hesitant to experience that in a cinematic work.

The Godfather movies are much more about people having to change with the times than gangster/criminal shit.

I feel that way about Intervention. I literally boohoo every time I catch that show. Quite awful.

I wanna watch the Godfather, but the movies are too damn long. I have no interest in seeing Titanic because I'm not into romance. And for Pearl Harbor I gave it a shot. It was the typical Michael Bay movie.
