I originally took up nursing and was mocked for it.
I didn't change my major because I was being mocked though. I changed it to animal science because I enjoy working with animals, and I can barely stand people, especially loud ones.
I don't mind doing things that would get me mocked. I know how to cook, do laundry and all the other things people today (surprisingly) think are for women only and if a man does it, they're gay or something is wrong with them mentally.
Besides, I get more things done alone than a man that doesn't know how to cook their own food or do their own laundry.

I was once dumped for crying. True story.

I remember tutoring a nursing class one time, while I was still at uni and picking up part-time gigs as a tutor for younger students. Not a single guy. Class of 100+, no boys. I think I know...maybe three or four male nursing students at my university? The comments they get are alternately "wow, you're going to have an easy time getting laid with those odds" or "wow, are you gay?". It's stupid, because healthcare isn't intrinsically masculine or feminine - it's a field suited to people who want to care for other people, regardless of their gender.

Ironically, the field I'm going into is mainly dominated by women, but instead of people saying, "Are you gay?" They ask me stuff like, "So, when are you taking a horse dick up your ass?"

Med students make a lot of jokes about vet students - or so it was when I was in med, anyway - but not neeeeeearly as many jokes as vet students make about themselves. I remember them doing some fairly, um, memorable intro skits during orientation week.
-
When I'm with other students that are studying to become a vet, we always make jokes about pretty much everything just to make us laugh hard. Although, we always end up making horse dick jokes.

Most top chefs are men and any idiot can do laundry, it's a simple process.

My roommate is majoring in nursing and he's definitely far from being feminine.

I still don't see how it's feminine.

That was my point, it's not feminine. I guess its just a cultural thing lol
