John Marston and Sev are the only ones I can think of that evoked a feeling of legitimate sadness when they died. I distinctly remember screaming "No, no, no, John, what are you doing. JOHN, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

Edited by Seggi: 3/8/2013 4:22:01 PMRDR/ME3 spoilers It's pretty interesting the way the difference between a John Marsden style character and a Commander Shepard one is just so distinct. I mean, when Marsden died, it made you feel sympathy for the tragic character, but when Shepard died it it just felt cheap, as though we'd been cheated.

Shep's death felt fitting to me. It didn't make me sad though.
