If you're new to the hitman series I'd say go for it.
Get Hitman: Blood Money too though, you'll be able to find that quite cheep nowadays.
If you can't get both, I'd say get Blood Money instead of Absolution.

I'd recommend picking up Blood Money at a later date then, it really is the best Hitman game.
