I loved the game throughout and that included the ending. I was a huge fan of the series, but I did not allow myself to get over hyped like almost everyone else did. Although sure, I would have liked to see the consequence of more of my decisions in the past games and stuff like that, I still really liked the ending. It kept me around 5 to 10 minutes thinking and going over which of the possibilities was the best. The scenery of the battle in space was great and so was the music, especially when you choose. I have absolutely no problem with the ending and only love more Mass Effect with the final game in the trilogy. Plus, dat multiplayer.

  • Eh. The ending does have problems. The fact that they are relying on a magic cure all (The Crucible) to stop the Reapers. The Star Child.

  • The theory says Shepard was slowly succumbing to the effects of indoctrination the whole time, Harbinger's beam was the final attempt to indoctrinate him, Tim and Anderson confrontation is his mind fighting it, then the final choice determines whether Shepard breaks free or is indoctrinated Many people make the mistake of thinking that the IT is an ending, but it's really a beginning since breaking free of indoctrination Shepard would still need to kill the Reapers

  • It didn't bother me. It was obvious it was going to be some weird way. It was never an option to defeat the Reapers conventionally. I was like dafuq, but I understood it because ever since ME1 it had left clues to the AI kid. To be honest, Bioware set themselves in a corner. There was almost no ending that would have satisfied the fans as a whole if it wasn't through conventional warfare.

They could have gone with the Indoctrination Theory and ran with it.

  • How would Indoctrination help defeat the Reapers? That is essentially the Control Ending.

  • Do you even know what the indoctrination theory is

  • Vaguely. Never could manage to finish the whole video. Just know it's about how Shepard got Indoctrinated throughout the game which is shown when he is at the control panel on the Citadel with the Illusive Man and Anderson. Something like that.
