Socialism.
Not as bad as you think...
The only reason most of you have a hatred towards it is because you were taught by someone else to hate it.
If done correctly.. And honestly.
Socialism is the "Nirvana" we've all been waiting for.
World Peace, Heaven on Earth... all that jazz.
It's just never been accomplished on that scale.
When you think about futuristic shows, such as Star Trek, etc.
What form of government do you think that is? Capitalism? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
NO!
Here's another aspect you all need to consider, about your beloved "Capitalism"
The Carbon Footprints of the Rich.
So you just have to have a Million Dollar House? For a single family? WHAT?!
Don't you believe in global warming? I sure as -blam!- do. The signs are EVERYWHERE!
Knock those people down a notch, tell them they need to make do like the rest of us, and suddenly their carbon footprints don't exceed what it should, for a single person or family.
Just because you got money, doesn't give you the right to turn this planet in a blistering hell hole. So you can fly a private jet everywhere.
There is more at stake here than just class warfare. I hope you all realize that.
The "real" problem with socialism.. is the people.
Noones willing to help each other (advance mankind) unless there is a million dollar paycheck for them at the end of the deal.
Everyones got this notion that you have to have expensive stuff, so that you can look down on your neighbor for not being as cool and rich as you are.
That is the biggest hurdle to what is basically, our salvation.
Kinda funny how this translates into the whole...
"Halo needs a visible rank" bullshit...
I think so.
Change your perspective people.

If people had no reason to work and innovate (since all reward is taken away), then productivity will fall. You're right, socialism is a good system for the economy (if the people work with it), but socialism is not a good system for the people, because people need incentive, and without that, it just won't work.

Edited by MR E0S: 3/3/2013 6:16:36 PMWho said all rewards are taken away? Let's imagine for a second a farmer.... And let's also imagine a construction worker. Why should the construction worker build that house for the farmer? Why should the farmer grow that food for the construction worker? You see where this is going? The only people unneccesary in this type of system are the ones who create taxes, paperwork, and redtape. You do it just because. It's that whole notion of brotherly love. You do it because it's necessary, You do it because you are a good person, and you know that in some other way, you will be paid back for the services you have given to your community. But when it becomes an issue where you have some people thinking they should have more than others.... Well, then you get greed, selfishness, etc. All the things that.... literally, if you believe in God and the afterlife. Are sending us all to hell. So, enjoy that lambo and enjoy that million dollar house while the rest of us live paycheck to paycheck... cause if Religious Theology is true. You won't be laughing in the end. Sure, if someone does something great... like... invents the wheel, invents a combustion engine, invents a telephone. Give them the proper recognition. But don't give them the power control the lives of others with the power of money. Because in the grand scheme, they wouldn't have any of it if it wasn't for the consumer they are attempting to nickle and dime at every oppurtunity just to keep us in debt to them, so they can make more money off of interest rates. etc. Here's a really great example of what I mean. Professional Sports. Do the athletes really deserve to get paid more than most people make in their entire lifetimes just to play a game? What do those athletes do with that amount of money? Besides increase their carbon footprints on the world? Whatever, that's a whole nother topic that could go on forever. But you see what I mean. In the grand scheme, those athletes don't really contribute a damn thing to society. I can't eat or sleep comfortably because you know how to catch a football.

If choose to be a farmer, it'll be for money. I want tangible rewards, not karma and whatever the hell else you're talking about, which sounds like some sort of barter system.

Edited by MR E0S: 3/4/2013 2:03:55 PMLet me repose that question for you again. Who works harder? The farmer or the guy who sits in a nice leather chair, talking on the phone all day collecting money off rediculous interests rates he poses on those below him? "Love" is a valid reward.... Your just too selfish and greedy to see that. Why do parents work at full capacity for their children? They don't get paid to change diapers and put up with all that crying? Buy them shoes and clothes, attempt to save up to send them to college. So why do they do it? Now if you consider the idea that we are all brothers and sisters, descended from the same 2 people who first walked the earth. We are all family, right? Cousins? I mean you do realize that? So if you're willing to work for "Love" on behalf of your children. Why not the rest of your family? Also, take the barter out of the equation. There is no bartering. There's just a job to do. So you do it if you are capable of doing it. It's as simple as that.

And I fail to see how that is relevant.
"Love" is a valid reward.... Your just too selfish and greedy to see that.
LOL. Love isn't going to put food on the table or pay for my house. You're never going to use familial relations to justify socialism.

I can't eat that paper the dollar bill is printed on any more than the metal that coin is made out of. I see I hit a nerve with that whole, parents using the currency of "Love" to care for their children. It's alright, I understand. You've been bred into a system of greed and selfishness all your life. It's going to take awhile to come to terms with the idea that "Love" can be a currency.

You don't realize it's not human nature to work at full capacity knowing it does absolutely nothing for them. Again, keep dreaming, because none of that can work in reality.
