Thanks for this opportunity op.
Halo 5 Campaign wishlist:
-checkpoint menu (includes revert to second last checkpoint, separate save and quit, checkpoint management a la Halo PC)
-turn on/off skulls without restarting level
-HUD customization
-large FoV
-flashlight
-CE/H2 style grenade chain reactions
Halo Campaign flaws:
-graphics priority (frequent deloading, pop-in, poor rendering distance)
-dumb AI (especially allies)
-checkpoint system (either too abundant or not sufficient. Repeating checkpoints solved this problem, which are absolutely missing in Halo 4 compared to Reach, H3, and CE)
-false difficulty (high damage, bullet sponge, grenade spam, power weapon/max enemy rank abuse)
-vehicles (they just feel like shit)
-intrusive game (game killing off enemies, game teleporting allies, game teleporting player, game tarnishing believable situations)
-excess invisible barriers/soft kill zones (prominent fun killer)
-collateral damage (this would go under intrusive game but I think it deserves it's own topic)
-boss battles (never been done well but the recent attempts are very demeaning. One plays itself, one is a QTE)
-lack of difficulty scaling/differences (like boss battles, there has been a noticeable increase in degrading the player. The QTEs in Halo 4 are laughable due to how they play out the same on any difficulty not to mention the obvious prompts. And of course, with Blind on, they can be an infuriating way to fail a mission. Compare CE's first mission (you weren't forced to go through the tests and you skipped right to the cutscene, the Elite in the dark room wasn't there, and you weren't forced to take the path in which you had to melee a door open) to Dawn (you have to open the cryotube, pry open the door, and kill that Elite every freaking time).

Alright, let's respond to your points that you elaborated on after claiming I was the stupid one.
-false difficulty (high damage, bullet sponge, grenade spam, power weapon/max enemy rank abuse)
Right. At least you explained your reasoning that time.
-vehicles (they just feel like shit)
Nice opinion you have there. Personally, whilst the Warthog doesn't quite feel the same, pretty much everything else does.
-intrusive game (game killing off enemies, game teleporting allies, game teleporting player, game tarnishing believable situations)
I've never seen any of these happen in H4.
-excess invisible barriers/soft kill zones (prominent fun killer)
I agree that this is a major turn-off for a Halo game.
-collateral damage (this would go under intrusive game but I think it deserves it's own topic)
Not sure what that means in this context.
-boss battles (never been done well but the recent attempts are very demeaning. One plays itself, one is a QTE)
Agreed.
-turn on/off skulls without restarting level
No. That would make a joke out of skulls.
-false difficulty -intrusive game -vehicles
wat

Also, it makes a joke out of scoring, not skulls; even then they could just reset scoring if you did that.

-false difficulty -intrusive game -vehicles
wat
*facepalm*

-turn on/off skulls without restarting level
No. That would make a joke out of skulls.
FYI, Halo 2 which is widely considered to have the hardest difficulty, let's you turn on/off skulls without restarting the level.
Um, no. In Halo 2, you picked up a Skull, and then its effect was there until you ended the game. There was absolutely no UI acknowledgement of their existence besides a notification when you picked one up.
Also, it makes a joke out of scoring, not skulls; even then they could just reset scoring if you did that.
Reset the scoring by resetting the level, presumably. There's no other way. And yes, skulls did make scoring much easier, but that was an advantage to using them, countered by the disadvantage of them making the game harder.

-false difficulty -intrusive game -vehicles
wat
*facepalm*
Yes, I'm the one who's being stupid when you expect me to understand two-word explanations. A little late to save face by editing the OP now.
