Planetside 2 is a free to play game.

It's still odd to not look if you can run it or not.

well, yeah. I do that with any game I download. I just delete it if I cant run it good. Which is going to happen with L4D2 since I cant run it good at all. But I CAN run TF2, Garry's Mod, Minecraft, Halo CE, and Halo 2 Vista really good on it, and the videos I have seen look like I can tone down the graphics if need be.

If you can't run LFD2 you can't run Planetside. Also those games you listed are not spec intensive at all.

so even if I tune the graphics down to a really low setting I wont be able to run it? Also I can run Garry's Mod with all the graphics setting set on very high, and the textures in that game are around the same as Planetside 2's

Hell no all the games you listed can be played on pretty much any laptop.
