Zombies aren't very aesthetically pleasing or stimulating in any sense. Plus the whole affair basically relies on accidents and ineptitude on our part to maintain its momentum. It's the equivalent of a guy tripping over, falling flat on his face, shitting himself and dying, except applied to our entire species.
