Having traditional Japanese music playing whilst reading this has made me feel so very calm and enlightened. Great post OP! ^^

A more interesting idea is to listen to Sandstorm by Darude. Instead of calming yourself, you energize and cause spontaneous dancing. Not really, but that's what happened to me.

Intriguing...

Link to traditional japanese music please? I've always wanted to reach out and find some. Stuff from this series is as close as I've gotten, and this particular track isn't a great example...

Certainly! The particular song I was listening to was this one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCLlTGugt0Y Which I found from this album: http://www.amazon.com/Traditional-Vocal-Instrumental-Music-Japan/dp/B000005IWK Another of my favourite compilations is this album: http://www.amazon.com/The-Very-Best-Japanese-Music/dp/B00022M53G Also, if you don't mind listening to soundtrack music then the Shogun II: Total War soundtrack is lovely! http://www.amazon.com/Shogun-II-Total-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B004ZFUEZ2/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1361834381&sr=1-1&keywords=shogun+ii+total+war I hope these are helpful! ^^
